Get in the Game - READ!

Our Summer Reading Program was a big success!

THANKS to the 53 teen and adult volunteers who helped out with this year's program. We couldn't have done it without you! And a big thank-you to the Brookfield businesses who generously donated prizes: Brookfield Bowl, Brookfield True Value Hardware, First National Bank of Brookfield, Flying High Gymnastics, Loca Mocha, and Paisan's Pizzeria.

Try our great databases for kids, TumbleBooks , CultureGrams , and more.

FALL STORYTIME

Come to the library this fall for storytime! We’ll read great picture books, sing songs, learn some new fingerplays, and make a lot of noise. Our storytime goal is to help babies, toddlers and preschoolers learn to pay attention in a social setting for an extended period (roughly half an hour) while they develop early literacy skills, make new friends, and enjoy some wonderful stories from our collection. Parents and caregivers are welcome in our Baby and Toddler Storytimes. During our Preschool Storytimes, parents are asked to wait in the library while children attend. Our evening family storytime is open to all ages, and always includes a great craft. Our new Saturday Family Storytime will meet once a month and is open to all ages.

Registration begins on September 8th. To sign up, come in or call the Youth Services Department, or you can register by using our online calendar at www.brookfieldpubliclibrary.info/calendar. You will be signing up for a series of ten programs (10 weeks, starting the week of September 15th) and only need to register once.
