FREE Research Databases
The library has subscriptions to many helpful online databases that are FREE for patrons of all ages. Try these databases to help in research projects.
Note: To use the databases from home, you must login with your library card first. Patrons working inside the library need not do this.
- CultureGrams Online lets you explore fun facts about countries and cultures worldwide.
- TumbleBooks.com is a fun resource filled with animated, talking picture books that help kids learn to read.
- NoveList covers published books, and is a great way to find new things to read.
- CollegeSource is a great resource when looking for a 2-year, 4-year, graduate, or other school.

School Textbooks
The Brookfield Public Library has at least one copy each of all the current school textbooks from BrookPark, Congress Park, Lincoln, and S. E. Gross schools, for use in the library only. This can be a good thing to know some evening after supper when you realize you’ve forgotten your book at school! Copies can be made for 10� a page on our photocopier. Call the Youth Services Department for more details.
