Notable New Non-Fiction

New to our Non-Fiction collection:

Cradle to Cradle by William McDonough & Michael Braungart.

The concept of "cradle to cradle" challenges the traditional "cradle to the grave" concept that manufacturers currently use and instead promotes the concept of making items that can be repurposed.   This provocative book outlines how products are currently designed and how they should be designed.  The book itself is representative of its mission being made of a synthetic paper that is both waterproof and recyclable.

Dave Barry Slept Here: A Sort of History of the United States by Dave Barry.

Not a new Dave Barry book, but new to our collection- this humorous book discusses the highs, the lows, and the somtimes absurd history of the United States.   If you love your US history with a side of humor, this is the book for you.  After all who can resist a book containing a chapted entitled "The Civil War:  A Nation Pokes Itself in the Eyeball."
