AcheronFans of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series will be delighted to know that Acheron has arrived at Brookfield Public Library and is shelved with the New Books across from the Circulation Desk. Kenyon is the author of three popular series; her work often appeals to fans of Laurel Hamilton.
Acheron is the story of the Dark Hunter leader, whose past is complicated to say the least. After being forced to live as a human, his death unleashed an terrible cataclysm that nearly destroyed the Earth. Now reborn as a god, he defends mankind. But his life is imperiled by the arrival of a beautiful woman.
The Dark Hunter series is set in ancient Greece and tells the story of a race of immortal Greek warriors who serve Artemis and protect man from the Daimons (vampires). Sherrilyn Kenyon's official web site, http://www.dailyinquisitor.com/hunter/intro.htm, says that the Dark Hunters are "Mad, Bad, and Immortal," and "ancient warriors with attitude."
The Brookfield Public Library also owns Devil May Cry, the 11th book in the Dark Hunter series. The series began with Fantasy Lover. Other titles (in order) are: Night Pleasures, Night Embrace, Dance with the Devil, Kiss of the Night, Night Play, Seize the Night, Sins of the Night, Unleash the Night, Dark Side of the Moon, followed by Devil May Cry and Acheron.
