Highlights from 2009

The year 2009 marked the first time Brookfield Public Library's circulation topped the 200,000 mark, at 200,057.  That's more than 10 items per capita, which nearly quadruples the national average of 2.6.  People entered our building 125,639 times last year to use our collection (92,684 items), our computers (39,176 times), or attend a program (12,358 times).

We expect these numbers to increase in 2010, especially with the completion of our recent refurbishing project.  The Library now features comfortable reading chairs, additional electrical outlets, new service desks, and fresh carpet, tile, and paint.
