"Pulp Ficiton" describes the type of stories that were originally published in magazines and later in paperback format. "Pulp" refers the cheap pulp paper that such stories were printed out. Generally both the quality of the materials and often the publisher were considered cheap. Classic pulp stories were often about adventurers, detectives, and even westerns.

An Indiana Jones type character Gabriel Hunt is a modern day traveler and adventurer. When a museum benefit is crashed and a woman is kidnapped Gabriel Hunt knew that there was something the woman & her mysterious package that that the kidnappers were willing to kill for.
