Kids' Friday Film Festival

Kids in 1st-5th grades are invited to join us for the Kids' Friday Film Festival on Friday, March 12, from 4-5:30 p.m. We will be screening the Disney Classic, "101 Dalmatians". Popcorn and guaranteed fun.

Our Adult Reading Program, Chill Out and Read!, continues and features a bingo card of choices to complete the program, including books, DVDs, CDs, and more. To register, please stop by the Information Desk for your Bingo Card and prizes, or print the bingo card at home. Deadline for the program is not until April 9.

Library Unveils New Self-Check Machine

Our new express check-out station is open and available for patrons to use. We invite everyone to stop by and give it a try. Sincere thanks go to the Friends of the Library for this most recent donation and for their continued support of the library.

With residents checking out over 181,000 books and other materials last year, the self-check machine will add value for both users and staff for years to come.

You may have heard that your cell phone is about to be assaulted by telemarketing. Federal Communications Commission regulations prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call cell phone numbers, but marketers can still call your cell phone manually. You can add your home phone and your cell phone numbers to the National Do Not Call Registry. Simply call 1-888-382-1222 (TTY 1-866-290-4236) or go to WWW.DONOTCALL.GOV

Pennies for Peace

The Youth Services Department is proud to participate in the international Pennies for Peace campaign, a service-learning program founded by Greg Mortenson â€“ author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Three Cups of Tea. Our kids will join tens of thousands of children around the world by donating pennies to support community-based education and literacy programs in remote areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan. The program will run through from April 13th through June 20th. Donation containers will be available in the Youth Services Department. Pennies only, please!
